About Your First Visit
There is nothing to fear at your initial visit. We will ask you to complete a medical history if there was not enough time for us to mail one to you prior to your appointment. Dr. Rushin will review your medical history with you privately at which time she can also address any fears or concerns you have about your treatment. Following the discussion, she will do a visual examination and order any x-rays she feels are necessary to evaluate your needs. The assistant will then take the x-rays prescribed by Dr. Rushin. In order for the doctor to have sufficient time to read your x-rays and write a recommended plan of treatment, we will ask that you make a second appointment for a private consultation. At this appointment, we will have determined the amount of time required for treatment, the cost of the treatment, an estimated total of insurance coverage (if you have insurance), and offer options for payment. You may wish to have your spouse, family member, or close friend accompany you, but it is not necessary. After the consultation, if you wish, we can make your appointment for treatment. |
