Dear Sedation Dentistry,

        I have been a high fear dental patient since I got my first filling as a young teen. Since then I have been to the dentist only two times and I am 30 now. Like a lot of your patients I was terrified of being in a dental chair until now. Your staff has taken away all the fear.
       Having not been to the dentist in six years I was scared when my tooth started to hurt because I had a feeling it was serious. I had heard about your "sleep dentistry" on the radio so I knew where to go when the pain did not go away on its own. From the moment I came to your office for my consultation and exam and met with Dr. Rushin I knew I made the right choice. Your staff not only eased my fears but they never made me feel bad for my fear or my number of years away from the dentist.
       I needed about 3.5 hours of dental work and I was lucky to schedule it for the next day. Once I came in Dr. Rushin and her assistant Connie did everything to make me calm and relaxed. The sleep medication I was given for the procedure left me with almost no memory of the time in the chair and I never felt any pain. I just slept though it. For this I want to thank you because it was due to your program that allowed me to get the treatment I needed to correct my dental problems. I have to come back again in a couple of weeks and I am not afraid. I will be able to schedule my regular cleaning visits with no fear.
